Bow Season Opening Weekend

Was up all you bow hunters out there. Hey I,m here to say, despite the heat the deer are moving. In two morning hunts a one evening hunt I've seen 13 deer, only one buck though ( four pointer) the rest are 10 does 2 yearlings. Just got one thing to say. White Oaks are where its at, and its no wonder with the horrible crop yield most counties had. If you can find isolated pockets of white oaks with good bedding areas around them, get there early and stay atleast till 8:30. And they seamed to be moving nice and early in the afternoon. If you find a tree with a good crop and some good runs around you might want to pack a luch and stall all day. Although I've herd of some bucks being killed, its mostly does. If you cant find some white oaks try the very north end of rend lake( north of the flooded area on the big muddy side) or any high ground around swampy areas. You can tell what a white oak looks like by the bigger rounder leaves and looser bark. Oh one more thing the skeeters Are eating people alive out there try to find some un scented bug spray (I use Scent Shields no stinking bugs). Stay safe have fun and put it in the kill zone. Good Luck OH buy the way HAPPY BIRTH DAY TO ME
