Catfish on Rend Lake

Well it's summer, time to catch the cats. So we went to rend lake june 24. Man what a night that was. We got there about sunset set up the trot line and before we could get all the hooks baited the cats started biteing. Although we dident cath that many (only seven) what we did catch wer good size. Only cought three on rods about two pounds, we cought four more on trot lines. Those wer around four to six pounds, very nice channels indeed. We cought all of them onraw shimp, wich is nice because they do stink to high heaven. the cats started turning on around eleven and buy 12:30 we had seven nice fish to take home. As to where we caught these fish, look for the current around the 154 brides. As long as there is a decent breeze blowing there will be some current going under the highway. Look for the the spot where the current meets the rocks on the highway. So go out and try these spots for some nice cats, sit back sip a cold one and relax in the cool night air.
