Dove Hunting

Well another dove season has come upon us, and not in typical fashion it sucked. Last season we went out to Pyramid state parks draw. With seven different fields every one had a good chance at getting a spot. Not true with this year. Even though they still had seven fields getting a spot would truly be luck of the draw. With enough spots for 250 hunters and profile 400 hunters vying for a spot getting your number pulled would be tough. Although our party didn't get drawed we still tried to freelance as they called it, which means you couldn't be with in 100 yards of any of the draw fields. Eventhough we didn't kill any doves at all this year we had fun chasing them anyway. With 1400 plus doves shot the first day alone there might still be a few left flying around. So if you don't have a good spot give the fields at pyramid a try, it seemed like captain field 2 had the best hunts. Good luck and we will be there next year that's for shure. On another note its time to get your teal deks ready. Season opens the 10th of September.
