Rend Catfish

Went out Saturday eve. to try out the area north of Turnip Patch. Well the stumps make things interesting. I hod the trolling motor up as highs as possible and still ran into them. We floated along all the way to the train trussell. Caught a few at the trussell. Nothing of any size. so we decided to make our way back through the stumps before it got to dark. I must caution stay out deep cause the water is very shallow close to the banks and the Islands. As it started to get darker we did manage to get a few bites. But the I hit 1 to many stumps. Broke the sheer on the trolling motor. So we floated the 1/4 mile back to the ramp. good thing the wind was blowing in the right direction. That could have turned out real bad. At any rate we had fun and didn't get ate up by the mosquito's. Until my next post stay safe, have fun and keep it in the strike zone.
