Hunted the same slough today had one group work for us. Is'nt this place beutifull. I'm here to tell ya that the ducks were call shy in every way possible. We used just one note quacks and drake whistles that seemed to work the best. Lost of birds in the air but very high. Big bunches as well most of the looked like they were coming from Union County Refuge and going north. Hunted with four spinners then turned them off and same effect they still ignored us for the most part. Best thing I got to say about today is do not over call as soon as we did they shaged tail feathers. Going to Rend tomorrow and try to kill some divers on the main lake and maybe a few mallards to go with them. Will post the results tomorrow along with a season wrap up.
