Big Muddy

We hunted a back water slough off the Big Muddy river today. Its just east of Oakwood green tree reserve. Did pretty well but could have been better. We did manage to kill 1 widgeon, 1 gadwall, 1 mallard and 1 hooded merganser that flew by at the wrong time. On the bright side the ducks worked well, perhaps the best they worked all year. They really responded to a 4 or 5 note lonesome hen sounds. Didn't hear a lot of shooting from Oakwood after about 8:30. Also dint see any birds at all past 9:30. Overall we had a very fun day.
